David, a Steamboat Springs local, has spent the last 30 years in the resort real estate development industry. overseeing the planning, approval, and development of resort communities on behalf of owners, lenders, and equity partners. His development accomplishments include a remarkably diverse spectrum of projects—from a conservation easement on 3,000 acres of a working ranch to a multibillion-dollar destination that, year-after-year, has been judged Eastern North America’s number one mountain resort. David has led teams of professionals in successfully master planning and obtaining entitlements for over 12,000 units and developed over 2,300 condominium units across North America. Locally in Steamboat, he has been a part of the development team and ownership group at Catamount Ranch and Club since early 2000, developed various projects in the Wildhorse Meadows neighborhood of Steamboat Springs, and worked with local major landowners on master planning and development strategies to monetize their real estate assets.

Dave has spent 18 years in the resort and real estate development field, focusing on the planning, financing, and operations of a diverse range of projects. Through his consulting firm, Spruce Creek Partners, he has worked with many of the top private equity firms in real estate development and led the planning, financing, and development of a diverse array of real estate, resort, and hospitality projects. He has been instrumental in the successful entitlement and financing of over 2,000 units in master-planned developments and the development of hundreds of units of hospitality and resort condominiums. Dave was part of the development team for Wildhorse Meadows in Steamboat Springs, and has worked on master-planned communities in California, Mexico, and New Hampshire.
